The Costa del Sol or Sun Coast in Spain is known for its clement weather, picturesque beaches and spectacular scenery – all of which you can enjoy if you spend your holidays in Nerja, one of its towns. Visit the Nerja Donkey Sanctuary

Donkeys are known for being stubborn but they can also be loving, as you will see when you visit the Nerja Donkey Sanctuary, one of the things to do in Nerja. You will also see some mules and horses here, and even some dogs and goats. For a truly unique and rewarding experience, lend a hand at feeding, grooming and even walking the animals. You can even adopt one of the donkeys for a year by making a contribution to help out.

Nerja Nightlife

The nightlife in Nerja may not be as dynamic as that of other Spanish towns, but it is still something to enjoy during your holidays in Nerja. If you’re staying at a Nerja apartment near the Balcon de Europa, you shouldn’t have a hard time finding a good bar or pub where you can drink, dance or simply interact with the locals, although you will eventually have to head out to Tutti Frutti Plaza or Antonio Millon. If you’re staying in Playa Capistrano, though, you will need to go to Burriano Beach or make your way to the town centre, where you’ll have a better chance of catching a flamenco show.

I latterly got home from a 2 week self catering holiday in Dorset.  We had decided that rather than going to the beaches of the Costa Del Sol, we would save some money, take a chance with the UK’s weather conditions and drive to the glorious sands of Bournemouth.  It would seem that I was not the only person because Bournemouth beach was packed and with every thing the area has on provide, it is no surprise.

Bournemouth and Poole are really fascinating regions of Dorset to visit but the region has so much more to offer up.  There were a broad range of things to do and places to go to.  My choice of the different tourist sights would have to be Monkey World, Tower Park and Bournemouth beach.  I had many a great time at all these sites and would extremely commend them to people I meet.

This was one of the grounds that I resolved that my kinsfolk and I would pay for a self catering holiday in a holiday cottage in Dorset instead of a hotel.  This meant we could rest in a house where we found we were comfy and available to do what we wished.  The holiday cottage was as well a pleasant base from where we could travel to the local holidaymaker sights easy.  We were blessed enough that our holiday cottage was placed under 30minutes away from all of these attractions.

The holiday cottage we remained in was close to a local pub which we often attended, where we created a friendship with the landlord.  We found out from the pub landlord that holiday cottages in Dorset were very common in the county and that he often met holidaymakers like us that rented them.  If you are considering of going on trip to Dorset then I would recommend staying in a cottage in Dorset.  The welcome you will encounter from the locals is wonderful, it is a great deal cheaper than a trip abroad and you will go home feeling loosened and refreshened.

Vacation in the United Kingdom appear to be immensely popular at the moment, probably due to the present depression and the low value of the pound Sterling. England has a large number of top tourist destinations including London (the English capital city) and other fascinating cities plus a fine collection of seaside resorts such as; Blackpool, Southport, Skegness and Bognor Regis. One vacation resort often overlooked is Plymouth in the south of England.

At first glance Plymouth appears a little plain and primarily modern, but delving a bit deeper and you will very quickly discover that the city of Plymouth has a fascinating history and a deep association with the sea. Saltram House is a lovely Tudor Mansion which is found 2 miles east of the town, Mount Edgcumbe is another superb Tudor house with coastal paths, parklands and landscaped gardens, and Buckland Abbey, roughly 6 miles away from Plymouth, is a Cistercian abbey which was at one time by Francis Drake and was at a later date redesigned as a family home.

If you are currently considering spending some time in the city of  Plymouth it is crucial that you book your  accommodation at your first opportunity as, sadly Plymouth hotels and guest houses tend to be amazingly busy and are commonly fully booked for weeks or even months in advance. If you are a large group you may find that Plymouth apartments prove to be reasonable option to bed and breakfast accommodation in Plymouth. If you are visiting Great Britain from abroad then why not consider making a reservation for a room in hotels in London to take in the sights of the capital city of England too.

Being one of the most attractive resorts on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, Sozopol is famous with its incredible rock formations and its wide and spacious beaches, perfect for one’s holiday. The resort’s situation is comfortable for the tourists – it is 35km south from Bourgas and also not far from the resort group of Nessebar, St. Vlas, Sunny Beach and Elenite. You can travel by boat to Nessebar to look at the neighbor resorts and meanwhile enjoy the sea calmness and breeze on the boat.

The world crisis has slowed the progress in almost all the resorts, but Sozopol remains attractive with sights that are not affected by time or economics – the antique Sozopol. As Sozopol is the oldest town on the Black Sea coast, it can offer a vast variety of cultural heritage. It is believed that the town is dated from the end of the 5^th millennium b.c., settled by civilizations, which existed around 400 years and disappeared because of climate changes. Back in 610 b.c. it was restored and settled once again – but this time, named Apolonia. The town was evolved to a trades and harbor center.

Clues of this entire cultural heritage can be seen at the archaeological museum, so your look for interesting places is no more. Be sure to go to the antique town of Sozopol and try out the local speciality – the fig jam. The cobblestone pavements, all the buildings in antique style and the preserved fortress walls will amaze you and throw you back in the Antiquity and the Medieval.

If you were to Sozopol and missed all this, be sure to go again and experience a whole new atmosphere. Also, be sure to find a comfortable accommodation amongst all the apartments for rent (??????????? ??? ????)  and villas that are offered. And have a fantastic holiday!

How To Get To Blackpool And Bed And Breakfast 

Blackpool is, as said earlier, very easy to get to these days as you can get to the town by air, railway or car. If you are arriving by train you will, likely, arrive at the main railway station in Blackpool, which is Blackpool North on Talbot Road. Not that far away, a little bit further down the road is situated the main bus station. The other railway station, Blackpool South, is at Waterloo Road, South Promenade, which is better for the Pleasure Beach. Blackpool International Airport is located about two miles from the centre of town and was called, Blackpool Squires Gate Airport, one of the United Kingdom’s oldest airports.

Blackpool bed and breakfast accommodation is generally priced fairly low. Rooms are much cheaper out of season but more expensive at weekends. Blackpool hotels are at their most costly while the Illuminations are on, which is really the town#s peak season.

Please remember: Some guest houses and hotels can be pretty noisy especially those situated between North and Central Pier. If you would prefer somewhere less busy try booking somewhere beyond the North Pier.
