We have been using propane to heat our home mainly for the last 3 years. I loathe it, it is high-priced and there is nothing that I can do about it. As winter approaches, I am usually very annoyed with being trapped into buying propane, as I think many people in the U.S. feel. We do also use some corn to heat, and we like that, but it in no way is capable of our whole heating load.
When I first heard of the ductless heat pump, I was very interested to learn more. I have always known how well heat pumps work. They are efficient and with electricity not climbing as much as propane it is a good value. 30 years ago I had a good a good friend who was learning heat pump technology, since he was a serviceman for a heating and AC company. I can still remember how impressed he was with heat pump technology.
The advantage of local heating and cooling systems is that they can be easily placed to help control the environment in a small area. But, there are many disadvantages to local heating and cooling, including lack of energy efficiency, safety issues, and unattractive appearance. Most newer homes are built with central heating and cooling systems, which deliver heated or cooled air from a central air handling system through a series of ducts. Central systems can usually be added to older homes as well, and they have many more advantages than local systems.
Compared with regular heat pumps, a mini ductless heat pumps allows you to control different zones in your home. This way if you are not in a certain area of your home, there is really no need to heat it. This can go a long way to saving in heating. Along with this, intrinsic in the design is the fact that mini ductless heat pumps can be installed in home with no duct work, say a home that has hot water heat, like ours. This was one reason that I jumped right on using this technology, it solved quite a few problems.
When considering electric heating always remember that a fossil-fuelled power plant may only deliver 4 units of electrical energy for every 10 units of fuel energy released. Even when you use a 100% efficient electric heater, the amount of fuel needed to make the amount of heat needed, is more than if the fuel was burned in a furnace or boiler at the building being heated. The amount of electric that is lost by substation transformers and transmission lines is almost 2/3 thirds of what was initially produced at the power plant.
Electric heating can be good in some cases, but in many situations it is not a responsible use of our resources. Also, do not believe the claims that one electric resistance heater is more efficient than any other. One kilowatt of electricity will always convert to 3415 BTU’s of heat

It is important, however, to realize that a positive mental attitude is not meant to be a cure-all for all our troubles. But, here is where it scores:

Learn from the mistake, and move on; take the juice and spit out the rest.
Same deal applies for other’s mistakes as well; instead of seizing up the opportunity to put them down, realize that a mistake just makes them as much a human as you are.
There are other traits that you can modify. If you are shy, you could try saying good morning to those whom you meet, quietly, and should not feel uneasy if you get strange looks the first time you do it. After all, they are not used to it! Over time, they would wonder and accept that you are changing. Change, slowly, is the catch here.
3. Change your daily vocabulary: Replace phrases in your daily vocabulary such as “Impossible”, “I can’t do it” with more positive phrases such as “I can, if I put in the necessary time and effort” or “I can, if that is my current priority in life” or “I can figure it out”. Such phrases, while acknowledging the task requires effort, still do not verbally diminish your capacity to do it should the need arise in future
