Probably the most memorable event of your life will be your wedding, so it stands to reason that the arrangements for it will be quite extensive and elaborate.  This is all-encompassing, even extending to the details of the reception after the marriage service.

If you want to host a reception, take a look at how they generally work.

The typical reception begins soon after the wedding ceremony, maybe 15 minutes after the couple exits the auditorium.  After arrival guests are greeted and seated.If you have a seating plan, this plan is followed. If not, the guests find their own seats, with whomever they’d like to sit.

Following this, ensure that the parents and other significant guests are seated at the head table.

After just about everyone is seated, you can ask the wedding party to stand in the receiving area.  This should not include the primary sponsors or parents.  They generally assemble together.Order of march is flower girls first, ring bearers second, secondary sponsors third, groomsmen accompanying the bridesmaids and finaly the best man with maid of honor.

Next, the newlyweds make their celebratory entrance, accompanied by party favors like confetti or bubbles.

After the couple enters, they should give recognition to the parents and main sponsors, letting them get up and signal with a wave. Then suggest to the couple begin the cake cutting ceremony.  This is where, if you choose, the doves would be released, as well as a formal champagne toast.Afterward, the maid of honor leads a prayer of thanks. Then there is the meal, and the guests are invited to take pictures with the newlyweds.  The next thing usually done is moving over to the table with all of the food and making sure everything is run smoothly here. There are multiple types of autumn wedding cakes.

The wedding singer starts performing once all the guest have ate their meal and are once again seated.    Audio-visual presentations are viewed after this.

Next, the best man offers up a celebratory toast, followed by congratulatory speeches for the couple.  You might only want a few of these.  Otherwise, things might get more bogged down than you want.After this, the Father of the Bride dances along with the bride, and then the groom dances with his bride.  This can be followed by other dances.

At the end of the celebration is the bouquet-tossing ceremony, where the bride throws her bouquet into a waiting group of single women; there is also a similar ceremony where the groom shoots a garter for the single men, which is called the garter cermony. Dont ignor inexpensive wedding favors or wedding party favors!

There are many ways to do this event.  Many receptions eschew live performers for a DJ, for example, and many couples have started including a mother-son dance for the groom as well as the bride’s traditional dance with her father.  By just changing things a small amount, you can achieve the middle ground by not boring your guests, but not upsetting them either.
